Prophecy, a solid foundation

Bible prophecy stands on a solid foundation.

Bible prophecy is a solid foundation for our faith in the one true God.
Israel was turning to other gods, and it grieved God. In the book of Isaiah, God is making a case for himself. He is saying the only way to know who is God of all the gods, is prophecy.
21. Present your case, says the Lord
Set forth your arguments, says Jacob’s King.
22. Tell us, you idols,
what is going to happen.
Tell us what the former things were,
so that we may consider them
and know their final outcome.
Or declare to us the things to come,
23. tell us what the future holds,
so we may know that you are gods.
Do something, whether good or bad,
so that we will be dismayed and filled with fear.
24. But you are less than nothing
and your works are utterly worthless;
whoever chooses you is detestable.
3.Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob, all the remnant of th epeople of Israel
you whom I have upheld since your birth,
and have carried since you were born.
4.Even to your old age and gray haris
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
5. With whom will you compare me or count me equal?
To whom will you liken me that we may be compared?
6.Some pour out gold from their bags
and weigh out silver on the scales;
they hire a goldsmith to make it into a god,
and they bow down and worship it.
7. they lift it to their shoulders and carry it;
they set it up in its place, and there it stands.
From that spot it cannot move.
Even though someone cries out to it, it cannot answer;
it cannot save them from their troubles.
8.Remember this, keep it in mind,
take it to heart, your rebels.
9. Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is non like me.
10. I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say, “My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.”
God is claiming that only He is God. Therefore, only He can know the end from the beginning. Many people cannot wrap their heads around it, but it does not mean that we should negate it.
God has proven it to be true through the centuries, over and over again. See my blog Crucifixion, prophecy fulfilled.
God does not change. Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” He made promises and kept promises throughout history, prophecies fulfilled. He will do the same for the prophecies about the end times.
How it must grieve God today that few still believe in Him as the God that can tell the end from the beginning. It is true that many who have set dates, has done a lot of harm to God’s word. But, God’s word will stand to the end. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.

9. Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.
God wants us to understand. Therefore, He repeats Himself, over and over, to drive home what is important to Him. He wants us to know Him as the God that can tell the end from the beginning. Furthermore, He wants us to trust in Him, and put Him to the test.
The moment it happens as it was foretold, we can know that He is God. John 13:19 “I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe that I am who I am.
This is the tragedy of what happened when the Lamb of God arrived, they were not ready. They “missed” Him. One has to ask, is the Church ready today, or will we miss Him too?

One third of the Bible is prophecy. There is no prophecy in the Quran, in the Book of Mormon, or any other book of wisdom. It is only in the Bible. God is still claiming to be the only God of all gods, today.
We read in II Peter 1:19 “We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place.”
Chuck Missler once said “We live in a time that the Bible says more about, then any other period of time. Including the time when Jesus walked on the shores of Galilea.”
God Himself is dusting of the book of Revelation. Revelation 1:3 Blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it.” Revelation 22:7 “Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.”
Are we at the end of the world? No, not the end of the world. But, we are at the end of the times. One of the signs of this time is the Jewish people will start seeing again. This is happening today.
Romans 11:25 “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits, that blindness in part is happend to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.”
As the Old Testament scholars, Jews, start seeing they shine a light on the New Testament that is splendid. Bible Prophecy is opening up like never before to us.
