A Biblical Cycle

The cycle in the Bible.

THE CYCLE

Did you know there is an astonishing cycle in the Bible? It goes round and round, repeating itself over and over again.

Every cycle starts out on fresh legs, and ends in disaster. That is to say, many times God starts anew, with a remnant. Years later, He has to intercede to save the human race from total destruction.

THE BEGINNING

ADAM

God created Adam from the dust of the earth, the first man. He and Eve were free to eat from all the trees, but one. “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat.” (Genesis 2:17-18)

CAIN

God sent Adam and Eve out of the garden after they ate from the forbidden tree, and soon after there is murder in the family. Cain killed his brother Abel.

SETH TO THE FLOOD

SETH, THE MAN

Seth was born in the place of Abel, and the cycle starts fresh. Genesis 4:25 “For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.”

NEPHILIM

People became increasingly wicked when the fallen angels commingled with them. See more The Fallen angels, before Noah. As a result, God told Noah to built an Ark for him and his family, and then He sent a flood.  Genesis 7:21 “And all flesh died that moved on the earth.”  All flesh died, except the remnant in the Ark.

NOAH TO BABEL

NOAH, AND HIS FAMILY

God started over with Noah, and his family, after the flood. The beginning of a new cycle. Genesis 9:1 “So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: Be fruitful and multiply.”

NIMROD

The people were worshipping other gods, and they united against the one true God, under Nimrod. Consequently, they built the tower of Babel. Genesis 11: 8 “So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth.” God called a small remnant, Abraham.

ABRAHAM TO EGYPT

ABRAHAM, AND A GREAT NATION

God called Abraham out of the land of the Chaldeans, to bring him and his descendants, into a promised land. “Get out of your country, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation.” (Genenis 12:1-2)

PHARAOH

During a famine, they left the land of Canaan and went to Egypt. Joseph had a good relationship with the pharaoh, but this changed when the new pharaoh came along. After that, they ended up working as slaves there. “So the Egyptians made the children of Israel serve with rigor. And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage.” (Exodus 1:13-14)

MOSES TO JESUS

MOSES, AND THE ISRAELITES

God raised Moses to bring Israel out from Egypt, and back into the promised land. This is the Exodus, and the great wonder God did to walk them through the Red Sea. “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt. So I have come down to deliver them. (Exodus 3:7-8)

CRUCIFIXION

God made a covenant with Israel at Mount Sinai, and they got the law. Some of the Israelites became masters of the law and used it to oppress others, the Pharisees. They were righteous in their own eyes. They needed no Savior.

Note! From now on, Jesus himself becomes the beginning and the end of every cycle.

JESUS TO THE END

JESUS, THE JEWS AND THE GENTILES

A new cycle, a fresh beginning when Jesus Christ came himself to die for us. His death, and His resurrection, rolls out the “age of grace.”  Romans 10:4 “For Christ is the end of the law.”

This is the time of the Church, when both Jew and Gentile are saved because of what Christ did at the cross.

JESUS, AND THE LAST CHURCH

The last of the churches in Revelation is the church of Laodicea. This is a Church of apostasy, when believers become lost in the things of the world. Revelation 3:16-17 You are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold. I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, “I am rich, I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing. But you do not realise that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.”

This is the church where Jesus Christ himself is outside the church, knocking to come in. Revelation 3:20. “I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.” See more End Times, the church.

A remnant will be saved, by Christ himself, in the Rapture.

Note! Yes, you are here, today!  We are not at the end of the world.  We are at the end of this “age of grace”, and waiting for the Rapture. At the door to a new beginning of a new cycle.

RAPTURE TO ARMAGEDDON

JESUS IN THE CLOUDS

A new beginning, for Christ Jesus will come himself in the clouds, to Rapture the church.  See more at The Rapture. 1 Thessalonians 4:17 “After that, we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the lord in the air.”

For others, this is the beginning of a terrible time, known as the 70th week of Daniel. In short, what people referred to as the great tribulation. The antichrist manifest in this times, and He becomes the ruler of the world. Revelation 13:3 “And the world wondered after the beast.”

JESUS TOUCHING DOWN

This seven years comes to an end at Armageddon. One day, and one moment, will end this cycle. “Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.” Jesus Christ is coming to make war. I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.” (Revelation 19)

A remnant, mainly Israel, is saved when they accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

MELINNIUM

JESUS RULES ON EARTH

Jesus Christ himself will live with His people, and He himself will rule for 1000 years, the Millennium. Satan, who embodied the antichrist, will be put in chains in the bottomless pit.

This is the glorious time that the Bible talks about when children and wild animals are playing together. Isaiah 11:6  And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the young goat, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them.

JESUS JUDGES

Unbelievable, but even in this cycle people grow wicked to the end. This dispensation ends with the Great White Throne when every evil doer will stand before the God of all gods.

NEW EARTH AND A NEW HEAVEN

The end of earth as we know it. Eternity starts.
